“I’ve spent three decades navigating challenges; from building a business to raising a daughter and managing trauma. I’m 43 now, and have lots still to learn, but I want to share some of those experiences with you.
This isn’t a normal trip. You’re going into a week that will teach you how to be comfortable being uncomfortable. Don’t worry, we’re not doing any survival training, but we are learning about things that as men, we don’t think we need to talk about. If you’re looking to find some direction or looking to find a new tribe, then this experience is for you”
The Experience
The Agenda
Ready to be comfortable being uncomfortable? Well it starts here, because you won’t find out what the week’s agenda is until you arrive.
But here’s what I can tell you. You’re going to have a unique time through experiential discovery on land and sea. Each day will bring a new challenge, with takeaways that you can apply for the rest of your life. You’ll be cycling, sailing, creating, learning, sharing, stress-testing physical and mental barriers all to leave with the best questions you’ll ask yourself.
From making decisions in your career path to preparing for parenthood and protecting your Islamic values, we’re exploring it all. We don’t do seminars, presentations or lectures. This isn’t an Islamic scholarly retreat (there’s plenty of amazing ones out there). This is where we find out who we are through the skills, determination and compassion we never knew we had, and hopefully learn something to pass on to others on the way.
Where you’ll stay
Yao Noi & Cape Kudu
Cape Kudu sits on the northeast coast of Koh Yao Noi, a small Muslim fishing island between Phuket and Krabi. The island has no airport and a working economy of fishing, rubber, and a few rice fields. The day runs on Fajr, tides and Maghrib. Calendars come second. The dawn start we build the retreat around is already the island's default, so the practice arrives as rhythm the island keeps.
The karst formations across Phang Nga Bay do the work of scale. People who spend their weeks looking at screens spend the week here looking at cliffs 300 million years older than them. The geography does the perspective shift, quietly.
The village life shows a version of what real family life looks like. Fishermen who leave at 4am, with intention and pray five times a day. Fathers whose children respect them without a single motivational quote in the household.
Cape Kudu itself is a boutique property that’s our HQ for the week. From here, we eat well, speak well and rejuvinate the best.
What People Are Saying
“I walked in trying to prove I was refining. Left knowing I was still exploring. That's the whole week that gave me a better understanding of who I am. Nabeel asks the questions, and I had to search deep for the answers”

Sydney“My daughter is 14. I've been performing for her since she was born. This week showed me she was waiting for me to just be myself and be open with my past."

Kuala LumpurAbout Nabeel
Nabeel is a father, a founder, and a man who was once broken by his own pace. He spent his twenties chasing and his thirties trying to hold it all together. Somewhere between the two, his body stopped agreeing with the routine. In his forties he stopped chasing what his twenties told him mattered. He built the frame at the centre of this week: the map, the credits underneath, the room in front of him, and the daughter watching him. He’s travelled to sixty-five countries, prays five times a day and trains six times a week. He is no guru. He is an introvert who learned to host, and he hosts because someone once hosted him when he needed it. He believes men who leave with better questions than they arrived with, change the men next to them, the women who love them and the children who watch them. He built this retreat from the notes he kept. The men who join him will do the work he wishes someone had asked him to do at 24. They will leave lighter and clearer. So, come sit at our table.
